Our 3 dumplings

Meet Caleb
We spent the fall of 2006 paperchasing and finally sumbitted our dossier in January 2007. Fast forward a few months, and we received his referral in June 2007.  We traveled in October/November of that year to bring him home.

Caleb is such a joy.  He's so easy going and has a great sense of humor.  He loves all things tennis and is so smart.  It has been such a joy watching him grow up.  He relishes his roll as big brother.  We can't imagine our lives without him.

Meet Madeline
In the fall of 2008, we felt the Lord calling us again to adopt another child.  This time we felt led to bring home a girl.  It took us longer to paperchase the second time around due to increased immigration requirements. We finally sent our dossier to China in March 2009.  In October of that year, we first saw Madeline's face, and we knew she was meant to be our girl!

Madeline is fun loving, spirited, and all-girl.  She's loud and opinionated and quite a hoot.  She loves to dance and swim.  It's been amazing to watch her relationship with Caleb grow.  They play together all the time and truly enjoy being with each other.

Meet Havalah
In the fall of 2011, we decided it was time to begin to paperchase again.  We knew that we wanted to bring home another girl with a limb difference.  We took our time paperchasing and submitted our dossier to China in November 2012.  In January 2013, we received Havi's referral and traveled in June to bring her home.
{Taiyuan, Shanxi China, 7 months old}
Havi is an energetic little girl who loves to copy her big brother and sister.  Not surprisingly, she loves to swim, dance and play tennis.  She is full of energy and keeps us all on our toes.

About This Blog

This blog is the place where shared our lives while waiting to bring our daughters Madeline and Havi home from China. (Our son Caleb was already home before this blog began.) It is now the place where we continue to share our life experiences, both big and little, as we try to glorify God and raise our 3 dumplings from China.

Feel free to join us as we journey through life, while I try to capture our days...
