Happy New Year!!!

The blogging blitz continues...

Picking up where I left off on my last post...bright and early, we headed down south to see my cousins Ed and Eileen.  The Monday following Christmas, their country club puts on a Winter Carnival because so many people in the community have grandkids come visit during their school break.  Last year we had to take two vehicles.  So this year we opted to drive down in our RV instead.  We're so glad we did- no need to stop for potty breaks, and the cousins had a blast hanging out with some extra elbow room.
After hanging out for a bit, we decided to hit up the carnival.  We thought we'd have lunch first before enjoyng the rides, which turned out to be a great idea.  Everyone was snapping photos of everyone else.  It was pretty cute.
After lunch, we hit the rides.  Madeline had no takers on the little roller coaster. So she went by herself and had a blast.
Havi and Josh wanted to do the Puppy Spin, so that meant Auntie Deb had to ride with them.
While the older girls decided to get their faces painted, Havi chose to get a tatoo.
Caleb was such a good sport waiting for the girls to finish getting "girly".  Then he and Madeline went on the ferris wheel with Patrick.  Havi was upset she was too small to ride. She eventually settled down with a little bit of popcorn.
After we ran out of tickets and momentum, we headed back to Ed and Eileen's place for some relaxing and snacking.  Leah and Madeline helped Eileen make pigs in a blanket. They made some cute kitchen helpers.
Ed took Caleb, Patrick, and me over to see their tennis facility.  They have over 30 courts! Caleb was so cute snapping photos.
Before we said our good-byes, I had Patrick snap a few photos of all of us.  I couldn't believe he managed to get all five kids looking ...and four grown-ups too! Show off! ;)
We all had such a great time.  I'm so glad my sister and her kids have been able to join us these last two years.  The more kids, the merrier!

That is impressive to get kids ad adults looking in the same direction and looking good. We had all the cousins here this break time but someone was always looking in the wrong direction..lol

About This Blog

This blog is the place where shared our lives while waiting to bring our daughters Madeline and Havi home from China. (Our son Caleb was already home before this blog began.) It is now the place where we continue to share our life experiences, both big and little, as we try to glorify God and raise our 3 dumplings from China.

Feel free to join us as we journey through life, while I try to capture our days...
